My name is Mia but people know me well as BrokenRose24 and also Kissie147 on IMDB. I’m also in my late twenties and I’ve got to be honest, I liked Peter pan when I was a kid and yet I didn’t like him much. I guess it wasn’t until I was older when I became to really like his character, as a young girl, I thought he was a bit selfish and didn’t really care much for him. (I’m talking about the Disney movie of course) However when I saw the movie Hook, of course I began to like Peter pan even more, not only because my favorite comedian was there but also because of the storyline. When I saw the 2003 version I got to admit, I got hooked even more once I laid eyes on the actress who played Wendy but of course when I saw the kid actor who played Peter Pan…WOO…I was done for! Oddly enough I didn’t see the 2003 movie until 2005. After that I was hitting the fanfiction and looking up youtube videos etc. Right now I am a member and the leader (although I never really called myself that but since over 700 people proclaimed I am the leader of this group…I guess I am) of a facebook group called “Hey Arnold! Save The Jungle Movie!! 100,000 People!!” There is about 17,853 Members in that group, all fighting to get Nickelodeon to green light the Hey Arnold Jungle Movie. A movie that was supposed to be made but since they had some fight with the creator Craig Bartlett (because the creator didn’t want to ONLY work for them, he wanted to work for cartoon network as well) they gave him the boot. The movie was suppose to answer all the questions about the main character’s missing parents and if he would ever find out that his school bully is actually is in love with him. I know I am boring you so I’ll move on lol, so basically I am a leader there but when I have the time, I normally look for fanart or fanfiction for peter pan. I want to one day write my own but I have so many fanfiction for Hey Arnold that I need to finish. I’m into action, comedy, romance, family, Disney and a bit of horror films. I also love the labyrinth so much! (give it up for David Bowie) I don’t like Twilight but I do watch it (although I don’t see what the hype is about: no offense to anyone who loves the series) Also I love Interview with a Vampire, I just seen it a month ago and now I wish I had some money to buy all the books, I have the DVD for the queen of the damned and I understand some people will say it “sucks” but I don’t really care much, the reason why I bought it is because I am a huge Aaliyah fan. (I didn’t even know it was supposed to be a sequel or anything, I just bought it because it was vampires and Aaliyah!) lol also I love Harry Potter (not as much as my mom, she’s a huge fan) I love fantasy stories with a touch of romance. –swoons- I recently bought the book Peter and Wendy because of the creator of this site. (Thanks again!) and I feel badly for Peter, it makes me sad that his past was so cruel (the fairies tricking him, his mom later forgetting him etc) It is safe to say I am a 100% fan of Peter Pan now. I like to play video games but sadly because I have motion sickness I can only play old school 8 bit games, however it doesn’t stop me from playing a few new games (but I have to take breaks because if I don’t I’ll get really sick) like GTA, Beyond good and evil, resident Evil, Mario, sonic, and Pokemon. Fav Music Genre: J-pop, J-rock, Jazz, Broadway, Techno, Dubstep, R&B, Rap (only certain artists like Eminem, DMX, and basically the rappers from the 90’s. I don’t like the new rappers today) Rock, metal, punk, mostly music from the; 90’s-20’s Favorite Books: A boy called it, go ask Alice Anom, flowers for Algernon, The color purple, a man name dave, lost boy, and of course Peter Pan!

Hello there, and warmly welcome! I moved your post from my topic and modified the title line so that this is its own topic. (No worries, I see I wasn't clear on how introduction should be posted as I forgot that on some forums they must be put into one topic.) You may of course edit the subject line to be whatever you like. And now, for the real thing....I wasn't bored at all, in fact I found that Hey Arnold story intriguing from what you told me. I may check out your group and the story itself sooner ot later. I don't like Twilight either, in fact I'm very much anti-Twilight. Although I do watch the movies because I like Jacob's character in them and his actor, but mostly in hopes for laughs over-all. So far they've managed to irritate me more, unfortunately. But since there's only one last movie left and I'm interested to see how they do Renesmee's birth, I guess I'll have to watch that too. As I state in my own introduction, I love vampires, so I was delighted to find you've got to see Interview with the Vampire which is in my opinion one of the best vampire movies ever made. Even more delighted I was to hear you're intenting to read the Chronicles! (And perhaps after reading the first three novels, you ought to understand why people hate the Queen of the Damned movie. Although some haters take it way too far. The storyline and characterisation being beyond awful seeing to the novels' true story, does not mean the actors weren't good or that the entire movie would suck.) By the way, it's not supposed to be a sequel to anything. If they'd done it anywhere near novel-faithful, it would've been, but since they completely rewrote the core story, characters and everything, it's not. Even the timeline crucially overlaps with the IWTV movie. I personally recommend buying the first three novels (Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, Queen of the Damned), if you don't have money for all the 10+ books. The Chronicles should've never been longer than a trilogy. Although the fourth novel The Tale of the Body Thief is very entertaining too and some later books worth reading too. The Body Thief part made me worry for my favourite relationship in the series (Lestat and Marius), especially for in a later book they're still not met again yet, but I asked from the author and she said they'll be fine and remain close with each other forever. <3 (By the way that is a relationship of father-son, mentor-pupil, and friends. Not the homosexual some fans who read too much into stuff, try to claim it as.) So, who is your favourite Harry Potter character? I'm a Harry Potter nerd, it's like in my top3 fandoms right after The Lion King and Peter Pan. I recently bought the book Peter and Wendy because of the creator of this site. (Thanks again!) ZOMG! I'm always thrilled and happy if I somehow have managed to have people read the novel(s) from Barrie, or watch the 2003 movie (it being the most novel-faithful.) Yay! ;D Again, be most welcome and I hope you enjoy your time here!

Oh it’s fine that you moved it here, I wasn’t sure if I should start with a new thread or not. I posted this fourm on my DA account: brokenrose24.deviantart.com/journal/Are-you-A-Peter-Pan-Fan-269130958I’m glad you didn’t find the whole Hey Arnold thing rather boring, I know some people who are not into that show would have rolled their eyes when I talked about it. I’ve talk to the creator of Hey Arnold for a while, he’s a real cool guy. Mostly laid back about things. I know that Queen of the damn wasn’t very good, I have seen all the hate and I understand because even I thought that things didn’t fit right—or at all with Interview of a vampire. Like I said I need to earn money to buy all those books, I notice that everyone are so fond of pairing vampires together because they seem so bisexual in the movies. I really don’t know, I did feel a bit like maybe they were but then again it wasn’t so powerful enough to make me a believer that they were. As for harry potter, I’m not sure who is my favorite because each of them are just too good but if anything I’d have to go with Harry and the reason for that is base on the philosophy, the emotional turmoil of his character. You have this boy who had been running around for all through these years trying to discover the truth about his parents—let’s just say there is a lot to this character. I’ve seen all of the movies so I understand what happened and in case you don’t know, I won’t ruin it. I use to read the books but I had stopped on Book six. I do have a favorite romantic pairing although it’s only because I feel a bit upset with Ron (I’m speaking on the movies not the books) so my favorite pairing would be Harry/Germaine or I could see Harry and Luna too. Although I also support the cannon romances as well. I would say more but I am unsure if you saw the last movie/book. I also love other movies like chronicles of Narnia, the golden compass (although I did wish for a sequel) I never seen lord of the rings oddly enough, although it’s because my mom is a huge fan of the series and will watch it over and over so I hate trying to watch it with her when she sits there and repeats the lines. XD

Sorry about the delay. I meant to reply earlier, but I completely forgot with all the excitement of you and Javier contributing to the discussions. ;D Thank you so much for the DA advertisement post! I commented on it. I’m glad you didn’t find the whole Hey Arnold thing rather boring, I know some people who are not into that show would have rolled their eyes when I talked about it. I’ve talk to the creator of Hey Arnold for a while, he’s a real cool guy. Mostly laid back about things. Hehe. even if I wasn't interested, I don't think I'd rolled my eyes. As I know how it is with things you really love, I'm guilty of it myself; babbling about the beloved thing without one thought to if anyone cares. xD But then, in this case I think I might not be the only one who was interested, because that story sounds like it has some similar elements with Peter Pan. I notice that everyone are so fond of pairing vampires together because they seem so bisexual in the movies. I really don’t know, I did feel a bit like maybe they were but then again it wasn’t so powerful enough to make me a believer that they were. I don't know about the movies, but in the books they're rather omnisexual. That is the definition Anne Rice herself used when I discuessed the topic with her by e-mails. But even that seems to remain just a concept, as she also put weight on that her vampires do not have sexual relationships with each other nor with humans. According to her, they transcend sexual desire at the point when they become vampires. I think she brings that out well in the novel Interview with the Vampire wherein the still mortal Louis describes Lestat's movements seeming like those of a lover, but once Louis' transformation into vampire was complete, he no more saw Lestat in that way but Lestat appeared to him as just full of life. And in The Vampire Lestat, while the blood-drinking/sharing's physical sensations are described in sexual terms, the vampire Marius does not regard the sensasion as sexual, but as a sensation of extacy which kind no human can know. And, in Tale of the Body Thief Lestat spends a lot of time in a mortal body again, and is extremely excited about being able to have sex. So...yeah. There are things many fans fail to grasp about the ricean vampire when they pair them up or represent in sexual terms. The blood drinking is not a raw alternate to human sex and in some vampire relationships nothing sexual at all, and the matter is anyway above human sexuality. I personally view it so that whereas humans are driven by sexuality and a relationship may or may not include love, the ricean vampires are driven by love and a relationship may or may not include sexual type of a touch but it's never the same as human sex. If you're interestd, you may read more on the topic here on my Lestat & Marius fan site. The link takes to the article I wrote based on the answers Anne Rice gave in her e-mails. If you don't want to be confused with my interpretations, read just the quotated bits and then later the rest if interested in my thoughts. Harry Potter: I’ve seen all of the movies so I understand what happened and in case you don’t know, I won’t ruin it. I've read all the books, so I know the story throughly. I use to read the books but I had stopped on Book six. OMG, why?! You really should read the last book if you enjoyed the earlier parts at all. The Deathly Hallows is by far the best and an epic end to the series, totally deserves its status as a best-seller. The movie adaptations get nowhere near its greatness. It has more excitement and action than any of the earlier books and it finally gives an inside view into the night and moments when Voldemort killed Harry's parents and tried to kill baby Harry. And that book turned me into a Harry-liker though up until then the character had mostly annoyed me. The only thing I don't recommend to read is the '19 Years Later' epilogue which most people seem to strongly dislike, for a good reason too. I do have a favorite romantic pairing although it’s only because I feel a bit upset with Ron (I’m speaking on the movies not the books) so my favorite pairing would be Harry/Germaine or I could see Harry and Luna too. You mean Hermione? I would love to pair Draco and Hermione, but unfortunately the canon does not give much chance for that though it doesn't exactly make it imppssible either. Although I also support the cannon romances as well. I would say more but I am unsure if you saw the last movie/book. Well, I did say I'm a Harry Potter nerd. I kinda thought that ought to indicade I know the story throughly enough to have read the books, including the last one.

Don't give up on the books, peterpanforever13. I too found the first two books relatively boring or rather too childlike/light for my taste but the third book "The Prisoner of Azkaban" and all the rest from that on are super entertaining and get darker and darker by the book. They're less and less childrens' books as they go. Trust me, you ought to like the rest of the books if you enjoy dark themes, twisted and complex characters and brilliant plot twists. The movie adaptations do not do justice to any of it while they also largely ignore the main story aspects and just barely introduce the main storyline.
